Privacy Policy
What Barnlight collects, where it is kept, and how to have it deleted. Last updated September 21, 2026.
The short version
- → Your horse records stay on your iPhone. We cannot see them.
- → We keep only what we need to sign you in: an account ID from Apple, an email address, and your name if you share it.
- → No ads, no tracking, and we never sell your information.
Who we are
Barnlight is an iPhone app made by Pix Design, LLC ("we" or "us"). This policy covers the Barnlight app, including test versions shared through Apple's TestFlight.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you put into Barnlight — horses, photos, reminders, visits, and notes — is saved inside the app on your iPhone. In this version of Barnlight, none of it is sent to us.
When you add a photo, Barnlight asks to use your camera or your photo library. It uses that access only to copy the one photo you choose into the app.
If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or to a computer, those backups include Barnlight's data. You and Apple control those backups, not us.
What we keep on our servers
Barnlight uses Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, Apple gives us:
- → An account ID. Apple makes a different one for every app, so it does not identify you anywhere else.
- → An email address. If you chose Hide My Email, this is a relay address from Apple and we never see your real one.
- → Your name, if you chose to share it.
We use these only to sign you in and keep your account working. They are stored by Supabase, our database provider, on servers in California, USA.
Like most online services, Supabase keeps short-lived technical logs, such as the IP address and time of each sign-in, to keep the service secure.
What we do not collect
Barnlight does not collect your location, your contacts, or your browsing. It has no advertising, no analytics tools, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
Test versions
If you test Barnlight through TestFlight, Apple may share with us crash reports, basic device details such as your iPhone model and iOS version, the name or email address you use with TestFlight, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send. We use these only to find and fix problems. Apple's own privacy policy covers TestFlight.
Who we share it with
Only the companies that run Barnlight for us:
- → Apple, for Sign in with Apple and TestFlight.
- → Supabase, which stores your account for us.
We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. We give it to others only if the law requires us to.
Deleting your information
To remove everything from your iPhone, delete the Barnlight app.
To delete your account, use the contact form at the bottom of this page. Under Service Interest, choose General Inquiry, and say that you want your Barnlight account deleted. We delete your account ID, email address, and name from our servers within 30 days, and tell you when it is done.
You can also stop using Sign in with Apple with Barnlight at any time, in your iPhone's Settings under your Apple Account.
Changes to this policy
A later version of Barnlight will back up your records to our servers, so a lost or broken phone does not lose them. Before that version is released, we will update this page and the date at the top. We will do the same before any other important change.
Children
Barnlight is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
